Life in an Island in the Sun

One morning, I was walking to my office, and it was really hot. And I cant help but wonder, where is the best place to live in? If the climate is too hot makes you want to kill people, if its too cold makes you want to kill yourselves. Result to death either way. Kill or be killed- tough choice.  

Ever sitting in an office, trying to do your work, or at a cafe alone trying to read but your mind just wanders off? I do that so often, sometimes you talk in your head, questioning about every little thing, and the head answers in a funny way, you cant help but smile. But then your other thought answers even funnier you have to force yourselves not to burst out laughing like a crazy person. Imagine your face will look like. Epic.  

That moment when you were looking up in the beautiful sky, and your itunes played the perfect song, and the wind blows gently to your face.. You started humming, smiling, head wiggle slightly with the music. And you relised everyone is staring, and you were on the side walk on a traffic jam. But you just dont care.

Because you were happy. And nothing else matters.  

Just, Lovely. 

Men THINKS They Are

Every woman in the world probably has watched (or should watch) the Dove Real Beauty Campaign Ad. It made me cry when I first watched it. We are actually more beautiful than we think, that is the campaign is all about. As a woman, we tend to be more aware of ourselves, and think less than what we really are. Which this ad proves that other people think and sees us more than we sees ourselves. And that is something we should keep on reminding ourselves, everyday.

BUT! with man, on the other hand, is totally the opposite! or so this video thought!. Men are less beautiful than they think they are (and somehow I find it somewhat true!). Cracks me up real bad this video :D

Were Back When

When life gets to me,

sometimes I wish I was still a little kid

doing things I love,

with all my heart and soul.

Me and my cousins used to go out and see the night sky full of stars and the moon in my terrace, with a floormat, a pillow and of course, an autan, we talked and saw the stars were actually moving. It was really peaceful. Now, if you can see one star means you're very lucky.

In the morning, we woke up really early and watched the sun rises.

Swimming, only for the sake of 'playing in the water'. We had this game, find the coin, one person throws a coin and the others had to find it. We played until our fingers wrinkled.

Read a book that took me miles away into the world of imagination. Now those magical feeling were no longer as magical. Somehow.

Talked hours on the phone about nothing, just laughed out loud. I don't do that anymore, since bbm strikes our culture. Damn globalization.

Those excitement when having a birthday and opening presents! Although it was only a card, or a Barbie, those feeling of surprise was priceless.

Sat for hours in the terrace of my old house, with a hot tea and a blanket, on a rainy day. And sometimes with a book.

Oh how I wish I can feel those pure, simply innocent feeling again.

I Had Doubts Before,

They say when in doubt wear red. I say when in doubt think of this beautiful guy and all my doubts are gone. Hehehe.. If you want something really bad you will eventually get it (so they say), if I wish it really hard and want it really bad I will get Takeshi then?

Happiness is Where the Heart is

What does happiness mean to you? Someone had asked me that question yesterday, and it could mean differently for anyone. As for me, I said to my friend, happiness is being effortlessly happy. You just happy without any force of making someone else happy, or making yourself happy. Feeling good from within I suppose. But Im just a human, sometimes its not easy to find that feeling when the work drives me to my limit, or someone is testing my emotions, or simply the unforgiving weather of Jakarta (eh tangerang deng hehe).

When I had my birthday many moons ago, my mom gave me a birthday card, but more of a feel-good card. I love the writings so much, and really did represent what my mom used to say to me-- more or less. Here goes;

Happiness is never out of reach

For the sweet miracle in life

Believe in the wisdom of your heart

And always remember how much I believe in you

It touches me every time I read it. Even now.

My mom always said to me that I should listen to my heart. My heart knows whats best for me. Now I understand, heart is where God talked to us. And of course listen to it will always be right. It may seems difficult or fearful at the moment, but if the heart says so, you just have to follow through. I have to admit it is not easy sometimes. I often got confused with the voice of my heart and the voice of my mind. What heart wants sometimes are risky, and the mind goes panic and says things like, what if you fail? what if this what if that and all the negativity the world has to offer. And for that, the heart went silent. You ignore your heart. Oh, and don't forget about lust.. Yes, lust is a very good friend of heart. They're like twins sometimes, you cant tell the difference from one another. 'My heart wants that shoes!'--lust dears, not really came from the heart.

I could go on about this forever.. But I guess thats it for now.

You may feel differently about this whole thing, thats fine..It is only a silly theory about heart and happiness. I just want to get this out into the void. :)

Here Comes The (soon-to-be) Bride of All (soon-to-be) Brides

Once upon a time.. There was a girl who as common as you and me, until she had met a fairy godmother who gave her a blue satin silk dress for her to wear at the Royal Ball. There she met a Prince who's charm had captured all the princesses around the world, but none of them could steal this Royal Prince's heart. The King, you see, had lost his hope, for he would like his son to have met a princess, so then the Prince may take his crown, for the King is old, but the Prince had not yet set an eye for there was many beautiful princesses his father had chosen for him. But when the golden clock set to twelve and the Royal Ball was almost over, the Charming Prince looked outside the ballroom and there she was, standing beside the Royal fountain, a common girl in a blue dress, with her eyes glistering in the dim night. The Prince had never looked upon such beauty, and from that time on he knew his heart had found home.

And they lived happily ever after...

I wish the story was true, but no.. that's just me being dreamy. The real fact is they met in the university, and fell in love. But never mind how they've met, I think Kate Middleton is perfect for a princess and as equally gorgeous as her boy-prince. And when I see Kate, somehow I found some resemblances with Lady Diana. She's a little shy, loves a good laugh, and the same smart-grace a princess must have, but still humble. Lets just hope they do live happily ever after.

Fly

I'm moving out. Have I told you that? My house which I've been living for 20 years is sold. So these couple of weeks we've cleared our storage room, throw unused things, keep the good stuff, wrap and put them in boxes. Kind of tiring to be honest this process, I enjoyed it once in a while but there're times I just got really exhausted. Not just the moving and packing stuff, but also hard for me to finally leave the home I'd been known for ever. So, I want to fly away. And just take my mind off of things for a bit. That would be just lovely. Who wants to come with? :)
