The Color Pink

The feeling of being in love with everything around me,
the calmness of being free,
the complete sense of self in my well being,
where my mind is at its blissful state,
and a safe heart trust the path of the universe.

The island teaches me what it was like to live.

I wander a lot when I was in Bali. Only with my flip fops, went on walking for many hours, alone, talked to a complete stranger, sit on a beach watched the sunset, and went on walking aimlessly again. No one there to judge you, no one there for you to give your finger to, its just you. And it feels so good. And of course, not to mention many eye candies for my craving for sweetness *wink (examples this guy in the picture, HA!)

The cultural experience I've gone through was a fun and exciting experience as well. There are many ceremonies held maybe every 2 weeks in Bali. I just love the idea of the two worlds meet, the world of culture and heritage, walk hand in hand with the so called western invasion. Really, have both worlds here.

This is me with my Balinese mother, Ibu Jero, and my cousin Kak Nisa. We were at this Temple who has a sacred water, at a certain time, the 'holy' time, lots of people came to cleanse themselves from sin, or bad luck. So yes, I went to a small pool with hundreds of doubtfully hygiene people.
The things I do for life!

The Charmed One

My dream guy. Diego Bunuel, a journalist, a producer and the host of Nat Geo Adventure series Dont Tell My Mother. At first I thought he was a Moroccan or from Middle East, but he is from France. With his strikingly tall figure and a killer smile, it was at first a little daunting to see him go to places he went. The series takes him to a place thats sometimes dangerous, unpleasant or just simply the filthy side of a country. He visited Indonesia, but sadly I missed the episode. I've read the review on kompasiana, and as I thought, It was embarrassing. You can read the full article here. Whatever his take on Indonesia, I will love him no matter what..

Check This Out

Have you ever wished you can go around the country without ever worrying about homesick? This guy here had the answer. Jay Shefer of Tumbleweed has been living in his little tiny wooden house from 1997, he built and lives in this 100 square feet house for the reason of his loathing hate for vacuuming and sweeping a big house. I envy him, he can stay at a forest without thinking where to pee, or will a bear come and knocking down the tent. Go, press play and see it for yourselves.

This is Pasar Mayestik

The place to find every single thing for everyday life. That I think should be the phrase to describe Mayestik market. Mayestik has been there forever. When i was little my mom used to take me there and many many years later it's still exactly the same. I love to know that some things just don't change. The hotness, people are bustling here and there, the smell of every food in Indonesia, the excitement of bargaining.. One of Jakarta's very own lively treasure.
