Life in an Island in the Sun

One morning, I was walking to my office, and it was really hot. And I cant help but wonder, where is the best place to live in? If the climate is too hot makes you want to kill people, if its too cold makes you want to kill yourselves. Result to death either way. Kill or be killed- tough choice.  

Ever sitting in an office, trying to do your work, or at a cafe alone trying to read but your mind just wanders off? I do that so often, sometimes you talk in your head, questioning about every little thing, and the head answers in a funny way, you cant help but smile. But then your other thought answers even funnier you have to force yourselves not to burst out laughing like a crazy person. Imagine your face will look like. Epic.  

That moment when you were looking up in the beautiful sky, and your itunes played the perfect song, and the wind blows gently to your face.. You started humming, smiling, head wiggle slightly with the music. And you relised everyone is staring, and you were on the side walk on a traffic jam. But you just dont care.

Because you were happy. And nothing else matters.  

Just, Lovely. 

Dose of Positivity

Words are a very powerful thing. It can lift you up to heaven, and crush you down to the deepest part of your soul. Some words are like medicine, some words are like disease. It has a strong effect on everyday life. That is why, I like to read about the good things, I believe they can make my days good as well!

And words of Encouragement is like a dose of a 1000mg of positivity! These words just makes me want to jump and just DO. :)

Awesomely Weird

This Dr. Seuss' is awesome. Ever since I was a little girl, my friends always said that Im weird, corky, geeky kind of girl. Which is true, and I dont care, well quite proud the matter of fact. Then I always say to them 'no, im not weird, im unique' Ha! Nice, right..? And they'll be like, yeah whatever you say weirdo.. Oh how I miss my friends.
I was that girl in the class who sits not on the back, but on the middle near the window so I can looked outside, and saw the tree, the clouds, and the sound of cars in the distance. And had my books, pretending to take notes from the teacher, was actually drawing. Trying not to get noticed, so that I can play safely in my own bubble.
Okay, I admit it I am weird.
Having that weirdness is sometimes not making my life easier. Not everyone likes what I like, not everyone get what I say, and many of my friends were trying to make me looked like everyone else. Cool, trendy, hip and you know, like most girls. I tried, I didnt feel comfortable at all, and so I was back at being me.
Finding a person that get my corkyness is never easy. Weather Im too strange and weird for them, or they are too boring for me.
I dont know why I decided going through memory lane with this post. But I like it, just having remembering these moments, i feel warm inside :)
So, can we be awesomely weird together?

That is very true. What is love if the other person cannot feel it? For example, a father that loves his children very much, but never show it to them, only talks about the common things, not deeper or real things in life that the children may be having. He wouldn't know about it. And the children would think their father doesn't care, which can cause tension and can damage the kid. Affection is, weather you like it or not, is so important. It is the way of showing love. We all made of flesh and bones, but what we really are is our heart and soul. Love is the food for the soul, as they say, which I agree. And if the soul is at peace, we become a better person, a positive person, which leads a positive attitude and a tranquil life. 

Love what you do, do what you love. And show your love. 

It may be difficult to show love for some people, but love is to make an extra effort. You may not like something, but for the sake of  love, you gotta do it. 

So, be in love (with everyone and everything around us).

Happiness is Where the Heart is

What does happiness mean to you? Someone had asked me that question yesterday, and it could mean differently for anyone. As for me, I said to my friend, happiness is being effortlessly happy. You just happy without any force of making someone else happy, or making yourself happy. Feeling good from within I suppose. But Im just a human, sometimes its not easy to find that feeling when the work drives me to my limit, or someone is testing my emotions, or simply the unforgiving weather of Jakarta (eh tangerang deng hehe).

When I had my birthday many moons ago, my mom gave me a birthday card, but more of a feel-good card. I love the writings so much, and really did represent what my mom used to say to me-- more or less. Here goes;

Happiness is never out of reach

For the sweet miracle in life

Believe in the wisdom of your heart

And always remember how much I believe in you

It touches me every time I read it. Even now.

My mom always said to me that I should listen to my heart. My heart knows whats best for me. Now I understand, heart is where God talked to us. And of course listen to it will always be right. It may seems difficult or fearful at the moment, but if the heart says so, you just have to follow through. I have to admit it is not easy sometimes. I often got confused with the voice of my heart and the voice of my mind. What heart wants sometimes are risky, and the mind goes panic and says things like, what if you fail? what if this what if that and all the negativity the world has to offer. And for that, the heart went silent. You ignore your heart. Oh, and don't forget about lust.. Yes, lust is a very good friend of heart. They're like twins sometimes, you cant tell the difference from one another. 'My heart wants that shoes!'--lust dears, not really came from the heart.

I could go on about this forever.. But I guess thats it for now.

You may feel differently about this whole thing, thats fine..It is only a silly theory about heart and happiness. I just want to get this out into the void. :)
